Mentorship – P.E.A.R.L.S. Principle, Empowered, Achieving, Right Living Sisters is designed to encourage, support and mentor girls between 6th and 8th grades in goal setting, etiquette and standards, conflict resolution, artistry and talent, self-esteem and empowerment currently meeting every 3rd Saturday of the month.

Computer Literacy Education – Our Computer literacy classes offer a 1 Hour of Code class every 4th Saturday to individuals of all ages. This class teaches the basics of computer programing.

Programs Beginning Fall 2018:

Education – The Redeemed CDC will provide reading and math coaching to grammar and high school students after school every Monday and Wednesday from 4pm-5:30pm.

Will offer seminars on Resume’ preparation, Parenting and financial stability for the community. We are bridging the gap between where we as a community are to where we want to be as we connect by helping the community.

Education – The Redeemed CDC provides through our Summer Camp reading and math coaching. We also offer activities such as computer literacy through our coding classes offered every 4th Saturday of the month. Nutrition – Most children do not have healthy eating habits due to the economic downturn that the community is experiencing or the neglect of information that is available to the public. The Redeemed CDC is connected with organizations that provide food baskets and meals for youth after school and promote healthy eating habits and choices for those in need. We are dedicated to connecting with community gardens within our area that the children as well as adults can visit and learn first hand about the value of organic foods.

Fine Arts

Fine Arts – Due to the lack of music and drama classes in our school system and our communities, our children and adults alike have nowhere to express their creativity, thus turning their energy toward negative activities that has crippled our community with drugs, gang violence, and downright disrespect. The Redeemed CDC desires to offers an alternative to the life of the street by offering drama, dance, vocal, and instrumental music instruction to the youth between the ages of 10-18 at least three times a week. The drama instruction strengthens verbal skills by teaching individuals how to speak correctly with confidence. It strengthens the mental muscles by remembering manuscript. It gives the individuals the ability to act out their frustrations in a controlled environment through dramatization. The dance instruction teaches young people proper form and agility as well as discipline through multiple dance routines and exercises.

The instruction of instrumental and vocal music will give individuals the ability to experience various styles of music and music performance through the Radical and Redeemed Orchestra and Drum Line, The Redeemed Choral, as well as individual Piano and Vocal opportunities. The young people will have a chance to showcase their abilities and talents through showcases throughout the year.The Redeemed Community Development Corporation desires to be a resource for single mothers, veterans, and individuals trying to better their future through residential advancement. As we acquire property the mission of the Redeemed Community Development Corporation is to support the development of housing and related commercial facilities that promote the social welfare of residents in the Englewood neighborhood as well as Chicago, IL.
